"In asana and pranayama practice, we should have the impression we are working on the outer to get closer to the inner reality of our existence. We work from the periphery to the core. The material body has a practical reality that is accessible. It is here and now, and we can do something with it. However, we must not forget that the innermost part of our being is also trying to help us. It wants to come out the surface and express itself.” ~ B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Life p. 61.

Iyengar Yoga is a worldwide method of yoga developed for over 75 years by B.K.S. Iyengar from Pune, India.  Wherever, B.K.S. Iyengar traveled to throughout the world, yoga flourished.  Iyengar Yoga is considered an art, science, and philosophy; it is a discipline for every body and relevant at any age. With a focus on alignment, first of the body, practitioners learn to penetrate the mind. Strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility, the use of simple props, and the uniqueness of each class - are all key aspects of Iyengar Yoga asana practice.

This workshop will take place in-person only, and will not be recorded.
