$45.00 Osteoporosis and Resilient Aging with Catha Pavloff
A diagnosis of osteoporosis can be frightening. But it need not be. A well-designed yoga practice can help mitigate osteoporosis and reduce the likelihood of falls.
In this workshop, we will tap into emerging research to debunk the myths around yoga and osteoporosis. You'll learn which poses are known to strengthen muscles and bones, and practice modifications for other poses. Most importantly, you will learn yoga-inspired techniques, including proper posture and better proprioceptive awareness, to improve your balance and mitigate falls.
And, speaking of proprioceptive awareness, we will save the best for last: Class will end with a delicious foot massage.
Please note: The information shared in this workshop is not medical advice. Anyone with concerns or with an osteoporosis diagnosis should consult with their medical provider.
