Kevin Shea

With classes focusing on stability, strength, alignment, and general maintenance for the day to day, Kevin will often take an outside the box approach to postural yoga.

A back injury in his early 30’s brought him to yoga. The PT he was seeing suggested it might be a good form of maintenance. From then on, he has studied with teachers that emphasize alignment, strength, and balance.

Injury prevention has always been important for Kevin when practicing yoga. His interests outside of yoga are fairly broad, and whether it’s walking through DC for a day of street photography, or a mid-day jiujitsu class, keeping his body running well is important.

He feels lucky to have lived in Arlington most of his life. He and his wife and both grew up in Westover and went through elementary school together. They have two high school aged kids, two dogs, and way too many houseplants.
