Pooja Virani

Pooja Virani (she/her) is a Pain-Free Movement Specialist and Social Justice Consultant on a mission to spread joy, foster equality, and help people reach their highest potential. She is the creator of the one-on-one Rehabilitative Yoga program and Pain-Free Hips & Knees! course.

Pooja specializes in Pain-Free Movement, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC Yoga, and Social Justice Education for Yoga Teachers, Community Leaders, and Businesses. She teaches people how to overcome chronic pain and find freedom within their bodies through a combination of yoga, myofascial movement, and functional fitness. She also works to make yoga, community, and professional spaces more diverse, equitable, and accessible.

Pooja is certified in Yoga & Meditation, Kids’ Yoga, and Acroyoga and has trained with esteemed teachers at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Partner Acrobatics, Kidding Around Yoga, Yoga International, and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, among others. She has practiced yoga for over 15 years and has taught it all over the world, most recently in Bali, Indonesia.

A lifelong learner and leader, Pooja has lived in ten countries, worked as a Nonprofit Management Consultant and International Development Specialist, taught in rural and urban low-income schools, volunteered for the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps, hosted a community radio show, farmed, organized a 3,000-attendee conference, and run an Experiential Education company. She holds two Bachelor degrees from American University and a dual MBA and Masters in International Development from Brandeis University.

Pooja believes in "yoga for everyone" and aims to make yoga accessible and inclusive to all people – regardless of your race, age, gender, sexuality, previous experience, or ability. She aims to empower you to shine as your strongest, most inspired self, and discover your own path to inner and outer freedom.
