$0.00 New Year, Your Purpose: Afternoon with Tara Bishop

Begin the New Year with intention and clarity in this full-day workshop/afternoon retreat designed to guide you through a transformative journey of self-discovery, inner peace, and purpose.

The day opens by exploring The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga, timeless principles that bring balance and harmony into your life. A gentle Hatha Yoga flow follows, supporting the physical embodiment of these laws and providing relaxation, strength, and flexibility.

You’ll also learn and practice meditation techniques to ease into the present moment and cultivate awareness of your thoughts. Instead of aiming to stop thinking, we’ll embrace thoughts as part of the meditative process, making space to connect with your inner self.

The workshop will culminate in uncovering your unique purpose through the Chopra Wellness Coaching Program. Together, we’ll go beyond labels, roles, and responsibilities—even those we cherish deeply, like spouse, friend, or parent—to discover who you are at your core. This newfound purpose becomes a guiding light for the decisions and direction of your life. There will be an opportunity for a zoom one-on-one connection on your purpose after the in-person workshop.

Start 2025 with intention and discover the clarity, inner peace, and inspiration to make this year a true reflection of who you are and what you’re meant to share with the world.

Tara Bishop

Tara began her Yoga journey with a 12 week intro to Yoga Class that was a gift from her husband, John, after they had their son John Robert, in 1996. In 2014 Tara came across an introduction to Meditation weekend at the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA, while she was in the area for work. After an amazing weekend learning how to mediate, the signs came out on Sunday morning to consider becoming a teacher as a way to deepen your practice, and her joyful path began to unfold. Over the next four years she became a teacher in Mediation, Yoga and Ayurveda at the Chopra Center, and in 2016 began a community class in DC.  Tara also teaches for the nonprofit where she serves as Deputy Chief Executive. She loves sharing the teachings and experiences of Yoga to all of the communities she serves.

Tara’s classes are grounded in the Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga and the union of body, mind and spirt.  The breath is the bridge between the mind and the body and together we will come back to our natural state of balance. Tara is part of the 2022 – 2024 300 Hour Dharma Program at Sun & Moon and is grateful to be a part of this community. Tara looks forward to seeing you in class!
