$50.00 Rest in the Jewel of the Lotus with Jen O'Sullivan
In uncertain times, our practice is a refuge, especially methods that settle and soothe the nervous system.
This regenerative immersion with experienced mindfulness and yoga teacher Jennifer O'Sullivan creates space to sink deeply into the heart of several quiet modes of practice, offering an extended release from whatever mental load you may be carrying.
The immersion will begin begin with "Self-Awakening Yoga," which features gentle, flowing movements to release tension in the neck, shoulders, and spine, developing body awareness to notice, sense, and feel, all with the aim of reconnecting with the body's innate wisdom.
From there, Yin Yoga creates a meditative atmosphere of basic mindfulness practice, inviting a shift from 'doing' to 'being' while replenishing depleted energy reserves and grounding, settling, and quieting your whole being.
We'll close by settling into the heart of compassionate presence with 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra, guiding body and mind into deep, nurturing rest.
Jennifer O'Sullivan
For nearly 20 years, Jennifer has helped people reconnect to the wisdom of their body, cultivate attitudinal balance, develop better attunement with others, and bring forward compassionate presence with Yoga and Buddhist mindfulness classes, workshops, and professional courses. She also offers powerful self-inquiry facilitation using the evidence-based Internal Family Systems (IFS) Parts Work model.
Jennifer has studied with exemplary teachers from many disciplines. She is most influenced by Don & Amba Stapleton of the Nosara Yoga Institute (Kripalu lineage) and Sarah Powers. Her mind is rooted in Theravada Buddhism, and her Zen heart is held lovingly by the International Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism. She is a level 3-trained IFS Practitioner with a particular interest in how culture and other external forces shape how we see ourselves.
