With the ancient life science of Ayurveda as a framework and seasoned teacher Melina Meza as our guide, join us for a weekend to dive into new yoga moves and refine familiar ones, explore daily rituals, connect with fellow practitioners, and learn what it takes to deepen your practice on and off the mat in these modern times. The ancient yogis inspired us how to align with life’s ebb and flow, particularly its daily and seasonal rhythms. By taking a little extra time each season to adjust your practice, your body will reward you tenfold as it starts to run more efficiently. The payoff will be more energy to do everything you love.

Melina will teach this workshop in-person in Arlington, and will also livestream on Zoom. It will be recorded and available for one month following the live presentation to anyone who registers.

Friday evening, 6:30p - 9:00p

Bathe in the Five Ayurvedic Elements with Yin Yoga and Poetry

We’ll dive deep into the five Ayurvedic elements of earth, water, fire, air, and space through a yin yoga practice highlighted with poetry, and discover the wisdom each has to offer us in these modern times. The Five Elements are full of treasures that inspire greater harmony with nature, ourselves, and the world in which we live in. Yin-inspired poses will support the work of cultivating unyielding presence, compassion, and curiosity in your body, mind and spirit.

Saturday early afternoon, 12:30p - 3:00p

Pitta and the 8 Limbs

The summer-inspired yoga sequences will help soothe your inner fire as we move into the Pitta time of year or season of life. Get ready to fall more in love with your practice as we roll through Melina’s favorite Hatha Yoga inspired moves geared towards balancing the fire and water elements. In addition to the movement practice, Melina will share her current favorite insights into the 8 Limbs of Yoga to support your practice on and off the mat.

Saturday late afternoon, 3:30p - 6:00p
