We're thrilled to announce the return of our acclaimed In-Depth Teacher Training 200-hour Foundations program with an exciting refresh for 2025-26.

Our revamped training features ten weekend immersions from September through March, featuring lead teachers Andrea Kiss, Annie Moyer, Ahmed Jabali-Nash, and Dr. Candace Harding, PT.  We will journey through six modules, with each one foregrounding relevant material and information on anatomy, physiology, philosophy, history, practice, and teaching methodology. Using a trauma -informed approach, we integrate foundational concepts and practical tools for a full range of postural practice, pranayama, meditation, philosophical insights, and accessibility for a diverse population.

Join us to learn more about our program, ask your questions, and get an enthusiastic taste for what lies ahead of our next amazing cohort of practitioners, learners, and teachers!

Andrea Kiss

Andrea is trained as a trauma-informed teacher who creates an atmosphere where students feel compassionate, safe, and welcome. As a former professional dancer, instructor, and choreographer, she believes that beauty and harmony can be found in any movement, and explores a wide range of yoga methods to help students open up to a place where they can welcome back lost parts, to be with their stories – no matter how difficult – and to have the somatic experience that allow them to be fully present.

A graduate of Sun & Moon's advanced teacher training, Andrea has been teaching yoga since 2003, including classes, privates, teacher trainings and retreats internationally. She is a Reflexology practitioner and a decluttering consultant. In 2025, Andrea became a certified as a Compassionate Inquiry Therapist with Dr. Gabor Mate and Sat Dharam Kaur. Andrea has also trained in Yoga Trance Dance with Siva Rea, and Children's Yoga with Mariann Csiki.

Andrea builds on her love of rhythm and harmony and incorporates into her practice various elements of all the yoga she has studied throughout the years.

From a longtime student:

I've been taking classes with Andrea for years now, and I can say without hesitation – she is unlike any other yoga teacher I've ever encountered. What sets her apart isn’t just her depth of knowledge or her creative approach to movement, but the way she brings her full self into the room, every single time.

She shares from her own life – moments of struggle, insight, transformation – and weaves those experiences into the fabric of each class. That honesty creates a kind of sacred space, where movement becomes more than physical – it becomes a journey inward.

Andrea gently reminds us never to push into pain, but rather to listen deeply to our bodies. “You are your best teacher,” she often says, a phrase that has slowly sunk into my bones over the years. Still, she challenges us to find our “edge” – not the breaking point, but that precise place where growth happens.

She’s constantly introducing new ways of moving, new ways of being in our bodies, and each one feels like a gift. Her classes are never one-size-fits-all. Andrea sees each of us as individuals and somehow crafts every session to serve the highest and best in everyone.

What she's created isn’t just a yoga class. It’s a sanctuary.
