$0.00 Operation Relaxation for Veterans Yoga Project

This class will take place in the Arlington Studio and live on Zoom.

Join us on Veterans Day 2023 for a donation-only class to show our community's enthusiastic support for the life-changing work of the Veterans Yoga Project (VYP). Anne will guide a gently paced, all-levels hatha yoga class so that our big-hearted Sun & Moon community can again embody compassion in action.

VYP is one of our favorite national nonprofits with their vital, year-round work sharing recovery, resilience, and self-regulation skills with veterans and active duty personnel. Families, healthcare givers, and other medical professionals rely on VYP-trained teachers who offer more than 5,000 free, evidence-based yoga and mindful resilience classes every year, making a tangible difference in the lives of tens of thousands of veterans.

Our friends at VYP say that every time they share yoga with veterans, there’s a little more ease, a gentle smile, and even visible relaxation in the body. Veterans report they can better manage their pain, stress, and the challenges of everyday life.

Please join us in supporting VYP’s mission of resilience to even more veterans.

Suggested donation: $20 - please donate directly to VYP, or bring cash or check to studio and we will forward your contribution.

Anne Jablonski

Anne teaches a playful, openhearted style of Freedom Yoga, blending what's most appropriate in the moment based on what she's tinkering with in her own practice and who shows up for class. She guides students to trust their intuition and encourages persistent, gentle curiosity to keep the practice fresh and compelling. Anne nudges students toward a creative and alignment-savvy asana practice that erases tight spots and stills the mind's chatter.

Anne’s teaching draws on inspiration from her own practice and her most influential teachers, including: Erich Schiffmann, every fine poet, her cheeky teacher within, and a magical place in Montana called the Feathered Pipe Ranch. She is E-RYT 500-hour Yoga Alliance registered through Sun & Moon. She is continuing training in a modality called "Movingness," a somatic-centric approach to refining movement patterns, releasing fascia, and embodying natural states of flow.
