Though Melanie discovered hatha yoga at Sun and Moon in 2002, her practice was inconsistent until she found vinyasa flow a few years later. Initially drawn to yoga only for the physical benefits, she soon noticed that exposure to the spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga provided new reasons to show up on the mat. Melanie practiced, trained and taught at Tranquil Space for many years; she received her 200 hour teacher training certification there in 2013 followed by her 300 hour advanced training in 2019.
Melanie’s classes are fun and challenging but accessible to practitioners of all levels. She encourages students to push the edge when ready or to sink deeper into the basics as needed.
